After you connect the usb on psp and PC, from your PSP go to General Settings -%26gt; USB Connection and Press X
After that, your PSP should be recognised as a Local disk and you will be able to access it through My ComputerPSP and the computer? (any advice or help greatly appreciated!)?
Once you have connected your PSP to your PC via the 5-pin mini B USB cable, go to MY Computer and you will find your PSP files there as a Removable Disk F or some other letter(mine is F). To put music into your PSP, you have to download these songs in MP3 format. First download the MP3 songs in your PC, save it in your My Documents. Then, click on this MP3 files and using the command move or copy, move or copy it to the Music folder in your PSP. Make sure that your PSP is still connected to your PC for the transfer to be successful. When a file is downloaded from your PC to your PSP do not disconnect your PSP. Wait when the download bar - the one that glides back and forth in your PSP screen- disappears. Disconnecting your PSP from your PC will cause the data file to appear corrupted in your PSP. When download is complete disconnect your PSP from your PC and scroll over to the right of the XMB to get to Music. There you will find all your MP3 files. To put videos to your PSP, you have to download the videos first to your PC and save it in your My Documents. Make sure that the video file you're downloading to your PC is in MPEG 4 format. This is because MPEG 4 is the video codec that's supported by the PSP. Downloading a video from your PC to your PSP in formats other than MPEG 4 will cause the data to appear corrupted in your PSP Video folder. If you cannot find a video that's already in MPEG 4 format, then, you're gonna convert that video yourself to MPEG 4. In order to do this, download an application called Any video converter- the one I'm using. The application is easy to use; just try to understand it. Once conversion of the video to MPEG 4 is complete, you can now transfer the MPEG 4 video file to your PSP. Connect PSP to PC, move or copy the MPEG 4 file from your PC to the Video folder of your PSP. When this is completed disconnect your PSP from your PC, then scroll over to the right of the XMB to get to Video. There you will find your MPEG 4 video file. That's it.
to put music and videos on, just simply drag and drop the files you want into the music or video folder on the psp
