Years of drug abuse can change a person forever. It may me years of therapy before you start to see your old brother, even then once you have been down that road something inside changes forever.
He has to be strong (easier said then done) and not belive that relapse is inevitable (but it probbally feels life that for him)
He may push people away and be very recluse, but belive me he will be craving someone to talk to, to reassure and let him know people love and care for him ( no matter how much is acts like a prick and tells you to F**k off. This will be even harder for you. He will feel so scared and alone now that he doesnt have his baggie to turn too.
You need to keep active and busy and realise again that life is worth living without that crap, and this can take along, the most important thing is to keep clean.
Theres probably a reason why he started in the first place, low self esteem/confidence, depression or a other mental health issue ( but even so, these are no excuses for this behaviour, drug addiction is a choice, not a disease, I dont care what anyone says, we all have the choice, some make the right and others the wrong)
There is no easy way, it takes along time to get better, openness, love and understanding are the start.
The day he can become comfortable in his own skin is the start of recovery.
By the way, here is a website to a good group to get in contact with. i think its better then NA.

Crystal meth means a long road back. You'll have to be patient.
Talk to your local health authorities and see if you can get any specific information about crystal meth recovery (or google it). See if there are any treatment programs your brother can get into and any support groups for relatives and friends of meth users that YOU can get into.
Good luck.
do not take him to the emergency room. for some reason, even after you stop for 6 months or so there is still something different about you and your thinking is always a little off. as long as he continues to work with the mental health center and follow their recomendations it sounds like the best thing he has going for him.
Take him to be on the safe side....
what medication did they give him to take? does it have side effects? if it dosent mention anything about altered behaviour then I would take him to the emergency room.
hope all is well and he recovers.
