Help! I locked myself out of my bedroom. And we dont have a key. How can I pick the lock? Any advice?

well breaking the knob is one way...not the best

if it had a small hole theres two ways to open those

one is a pin that you push in, the other is a small screw that will be able to turn with a small, mini flat head screw driverHelp! I locked myself out of my bedroom. And we dont have a key. How can I pick the lock? Any advice?
can use a nail or an ice pick... or just slide credit card or a thin plastic coated card between the door and the lock pin.

karate kick the door down and walk in like nothing happened....
If you have a sturdy plastic card such as a grocery card or even your i.d, credit card. Slide it in between the door and the frame. You want to slide it in around the door knob. If you can slide half of the card in that gap you will open the door. But don't forget to unlock it after you open it.
A bedroom lock should have a hole in the center of the door knob if it does get a nail or something small enough to fit in the hole and push in on it...
typical bedroom locks can be turned with a small screwdriver or something similar.
If you have a key lock, remove the door stop, which is the strip of wood that the door closes against, and this will allow access to the bolt. Move the bolt back into the door and push.

If you have a hole in the handle of the door knob, use something like a wire coat hangar, stick it inot the hole and push and the lock will release. These locks are usually used on bathrooms but can be used anywhere.
If there is a hole in the middle of the doorknob take something that will fit the hole and is hard and push it into it. It will open
A lot of bedroom locks are just privacy locks. They'll have a circular opening in the center of the doorknob. Usually all you need is a small screwdriver or similarly shaped piece of metal to put in there and turn the latch.

If however it's a real security lock w/ a regular key - you may be out of luck. Lock picking is an aquired skill that takes a lot of practice and touch. If you don't want to call a locksmith I'd suggest giving the door a good kick. Hit the door as close to the doorknob (but not on it - good way to break your ankle) as possible. Either the jam or the lock will give. Anyone who's reasonable handy can repair it.
Use a tiny screwdriver of a paper clip and push it in the hole in the center of the knob.

The door will open
If the door handle has one of those tiny little holes in it, sometimes you can stick a small nail in it to push that thing in to get it to turn. Sometimes you can do the credit-card thing (like in the movies), but it doesn't always work. But if it's a crappy door knob and you're strong enough, you can just crank the handle around until it breaks. Or kick it in. I've had all those work at various times for me.
Depends on what type of lock you have.

If its an easy push button lock, you can stick a small screwdriver into the hole on the opposite side of the door on the doorknob and thats an easy release that should open it.

If it's a turn lock, you might try a credit card or something that size and shape and attempt to push the latch back towards the door and get it open. The point is to get the latch out of that hole one way or another!

Good luck
depends what kind of lock it is, on some a penny or dime will work and you just turn the part that looks like a screw, or on some a paper clip will work, you have to feel for a small button on the inside.
if there is a little hole in the knob stick a small thing like a bobby pin in it, otherwise, idk break it down. you can always fix the door.
try ametal coat hanger
Go to Home Depot and buy a doorknob like the one on your bedroom. It should have a little thin stick to open it with. Otherwise, bust down the door with a large heavy item.
most newer interior bedroom doorknobs have a small hole in the center of them. you can usually take a tiny screwdriver, usually flat head and either put in in this hole pretty far in and then turn, will usually unlock, or just press hard and if its a spring loaded mechanism you should hear a click and the door should unlock. If there is no hole and there are screws around the door knob unscrew and take apart the door knob, then slide the bolt back once you see it. If this doesn't work see if the hinges are on the outside of the door, pry these up and tak the door off the hinges. Again, if this doesn't work, twist the knob realy hard and pull the door towards the hinges to open. If this doesn't work take a knife and if you can see the bolt try to pry it back towards the door slowly. If this doesn't work, see if you have a window that you can access from the outside of your room. If this doesn't work see if you can gain access through an attic door then hopefully you can go through the attic and enter through your attic access panel in your room(usually closet) Again, if this doesn't work, just kick the door in, make sure to kick as hard as you can almost right ontop of the doorknob.
try a bobby pin or a toothpick
Does the doorknob have a hole in the middle? If yes, you can poke the end of a wire hanger in it and pop the lock. If no, you can try the credit card trick. Slide the credit card (not an important one, in case it breaks) along the crevice between the door and the jamb. Rattle the lock while doing that. You can sometimes pop the lock that way. If no to that, then you might have to go through a window!
