okay well i had initially bought a lighter for my boyfriend for christmas and had it engraved ';Nick- forever and ever baby -Mandy'; but then i got a letter saying that i wouldnt get it in cause of some money problem so then i ordered a pocket knife a little later with the same engraving and today the lighter came in! so im gonna be stuck with two gifts with the same engraving. im trying to think of what to say when i give it to him or how to give it to him. im trying to be orignal so i was thinking maybe put the knife and lighter and maybe something else together like a survival package or something? two gifts with the same engraving...ahhh...please help!! im trying to be original giving it to him, wondering what to say for it to make sense. thanks and have a good night.Need help/advice, screwed up on gifts!?

Why not just be honest.
Your idea with the ';survival kit '; was a pretty good one. Let him know that there was a mild 'screw up' and that yu were not trying to be a weirdo.
He probably won't even use the two of them together, so it won't really matter which one he has on him.
He will equally enjoy them.
Just make sure yu dont get him anything else ingraved.
SAVE ONE OF THEM FOR VALENTINES DAY OR MAYBE IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO ADD TO ONE OF THE ENGRAVINGS BEFORE IT IS DELIVERED. CALL AND ASK
maybe you could send one back? especially since they told you the lighter wasn't going to be coming in. i would just try that. if not then i'm not really sure. that is kind of odd to give two things with the same engraving
