Desperately in need of career advice? Please help?

Currently Im working as an accountant making $45k with medical benefits.....im 28 but i feel i want a career thats more challenging, exciting and rewarding......so i have decided to apply to medical school to become a Male Nurse. Please advise if this is a good decision as i need all the support i can get. It's not about the money as I was offered an accounting Job with Moody's Financial with an annual salary of $60k + benefits. I turned it down....i think i would be happier being a nurse helping people....give more meaning to my life....what you guys think???Desperately in need of career advice? Please help?
I think becoming a male nurse is an excellent idea! You will work hard but be rewarded well if you are a caring person. You will always have a job in the medical field and you can always further your education even after you become a nurse. I am a volunteer for Hospice and nursing homes are in need of male nurses. Nurses make pretty good money now and you will get excellent benefits also. Good luck.Desperately in need of career advice? Please help?
I am currently in school to earn an AA degree in accounting myself.

If nursing is the type of thing you would enjoy doing, by all means, go for it!!

I can only imagine how hard that work might be though.
My cousin works as a male nurse in the ICU section of the hospital in Kentucky and he thinks it's challenging. He enjoys it and feels happy about what he's doing. He knows he is helping the patient and the patients family. So I think it would be a great career. He gets paid really well and has great benefits too. And we do need more nurses. Good Luck!
We definitely need more nurses, and that's a profession where you would definitely be helping people. Nurses are generally underpaid and overworked nowadays. The helping people part is the emotional compensation. On the downside, you will have to see a lot of suffering and dying. If you can be detached enough to not let that get to you, I hope you'll becdome a nurse.
If money is not a problem!!!

Do what your heart tells you is best, if you don't you will always wonder what if would have been like.
Do what your heart desires and what will make you happy.
